National Ride to Work Day
Get on your bike this Wednesday 12 October and join more than 100,000 people across Australia for National Ride to Work Day.
Celebrated across the country every October, National Ride to Work Day promotes a healthier lifestyle and sustainable future that encourages more cycling, more often.
In 2010, more than 105,000 people participated in Ride to Work Day across Australia. Five months later, 43 per cent of those registered new riders were still riding to work.
Whether you are a new or existing commuter, be the change you want to see and support sustainable travel, ensure you register your participation to make your ride count.
Free community and workplace breakfasts will be held around the country for participants in Ride to Work Day. In Queensland these include:
- Emma Miller Place (Brisbane CBD)
- University of the Sunshine Coast
- University of Queensland
- Hervey Bay
- Townsville
- Clontarf
- Caboolture
- Strathpine.
