Selling or transferring of Queensland registered vehicles

Follow these steps:

  1. Maintenance module scheme member to maintenance module scheme member

A vehicle that is currently recorded in a maintenance module scheme member’s accredited fleet may be transferred to another maintenance module scheme member without the need for the disposer to obtain a certificate of inspection.

The disposer must complete the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme Accredited Vehicle Amendment Application form (F4034) to ensure the vehicles are deleted from their fleet listing.

The acquirer is then required to complete a separate National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme Accredited Vehicle Amendment Application form (F4034) to add the vehicles to their fleet listing.

  2. Maintenance module scheme member to non-member of the maintenance module

A vehicle that is currently recorded in a maintenance module scheme member's accredited fleet that is transferred to a non-member of National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme, maintenance management module will require the disposer to obtain a certificate of inspection prior to transfer if it is sold as a registered vehicle.

The disposer must complete the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme Accredited Vehicle Amendment Application form (F4034) to ensure the vehicle is deleted from their fleet listing.

There is no certificate of inspection exemption conveyed through the mass management module.
