Important requirements on scheme exit
- Removal of labels — operators must ensure that all labels are removed and destroyed. It is an offence to falsely claim accreditation through use of a label or any other means. Anyone who does so may be subject to a financial penalty in addition to other sanctions.
- Vehicles will require a certificate of inspection prior to being driven on the road when:
- the vehicle exits the maintenance management module
- the operator exits the maintenance management module
- the vehicle is removed from the maintenance management module.
Any vehicle found operating on the road without a current certificate of inspection may be subject to prosecution under the
Vehicle Standards and Safety Regulation 1999.
