Multi-combination vehicles

Note: Queensland legislation no longer requires that guidelines be carried in the vehicle.

The Guideline for Multi-combination Vehicles in Queensland, Form 1, Version 8 explains the conditions under which road trains (including B-triples, AB-triples, BAB-quads, ABB-quads and prime mover/semitrailer combinations towing one converter dolly) or B-doubles may be used on roads in Queensland.

Maps are provided in portable document format (PDF). These maps indicate the roads approved for the relevant multi-combination vehicle. The legend explains how the routes are identified and should be used in conjunction with the maps.

Applying for B-double routes

To apply for B-doubles routes not listed in the maps, complete the B-double Additional Route Applicaton form (F3115) and forward to:
