Regional limousine service licences
Licence locations
The Department of Transport and Main Roads commenced sale of regional limousine service licences on 1 July 2007. The approved areas are Capricornia, far north Queensland and north Queensland.

The approved prices for the following licences are:
- Capricornia — A$25 000
- Far north Queensland — A$45 000
- North Queensland — A$35 000.
Licences can be purchased from regional Transport and Main Roads offices.
Operation conditions
Regional limousine licences are restricted for use within the designated regional area, that is, clients can be collected only from within the designated regional area, but can be delivered to destinations outside of the designated area. Whole of Queensland licences are able to operate within the designated regional areas.
The prices of Whole of Queensland licences are determined by the department based on market value. For more information about purchasing a Whole of Queensland limousine service licence, contact a Passenger Transport office in your area.
