Standard contract provisions roads (vol. 1): road construction contract

These General conditions of contract are based on the Australian Standard AS2124 1992 published by Standards Australia.

Amendments have been made, where necessary, to conform to the specific requirements of the department and Government legislation.

The Road construction contract (RCC) is the major roadworks contract let in open competition.

This version of the user guides provides comments on the September 2005 version of the Road construction contract. It should be noted that subsequent amendments to the RCC have been issues and the guidelines have not been updated to reflect the changes.

It should also be noted that the guidelines do not form part of the contract.
