Planning an event
When planning an event, a number of state government departments may need to be involved.
If your event requires a road to be closed, a range of permits may be required from various departments, not just the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Visit the Queensland Government Event Organiser to answer a series of questions that will help you to determine the permits you required.
If your event requires closure of a council road, you will need to contact your local city or shire council.
Roadworks
Don't forget to check for roadworks happening near your event. You may need to advise your patrons that there could be traffic delays when travelling to your event.
