History
- This corridor was preserved in the late 1980s following concerns that Anzac Avenue through Kallangur would not accommodate expected traffic growth.
- The corridor is adjacent to the western section of a railway corridor between Petrie and Kippa-Ring.
- Corridor preservation was based on current planning standards for a four-lane median-divided road.
Current status
A planning study for a combined road, bus and rail corridor between Petrie and Kallangur commenced in late 2006. The study is investigating the role and function of the future corridor, land requirements and improved parking at Petrie rail station.
