Central West region

Extending 60 km south of Tambo and 80 km south of Windorah. Its northern limit is 140 km north-west of Winton and within 20 km of Mt Isa. It extends from Alpha in the east to the Northern Territory border.

Area: 396,697 sq km.
Population: Around 12,500.
Industries: Tourism, freight, cattle, sheep.
