Key dates

  • 18 May 2017: First sod turned to mark the start of major construction for the Bruce Highway upgrade. 
  • 16 September 2016: Fulton Hogan Seymour Whyte Joint Venture awarded the detailed design and construction contract.
  • 21 March 2016: Transport and Main Roads received tenders from Fulton Hogan Seymour Whyte Joint Venture and The Infrastructure Group.
  • 4 November 2015: Transport and Main Roads announced the shortlisted tenderers for the double Early Contractor Involvement (dECI) process. Fulton Hogan Seymour Whyte Joint Venture and The Infrastructure Group were shortlisted to submit proposals for the detailed design and construction of the Bruce Highway Upgrade—Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway.
  • 3 September 2015: Transport and Main Roads held a specific project industry briefing where the Expression of Interest for the double Early Contractor Involvement process commenced.
