Background

The Ipswich LGA is projected to experience some of the highest population growth in Queensland over the coming decades. By 2046, the population is expected to nearly double, with around 90,000 new dwellings planned – many of which will be in the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area and surrounding areas.

We are committed to creating vibrant, well-connected communities. The Ipswich to Springfield Public Transport Corridor is identified in various planning publications, including SEQ Rail Connect, ShapingSEQ: South East Queensland Regional Plan 2023 and the South East Queensland Regional Transport Plans 2021.
