  • Reconstructing Bulloo Shire

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads has reconstructed roads within Bulloo Shire in the South West region after extensive flooding since 2010.

  • Reconstruction works – key roads in Fitzroy Region

    Reconstruction works are underway on numerous State-controlled roads in the region. These works are part of Operation Queenslander, the largest reconstruction effort in Queensland’s history, rebuilding communities, fixing infrastructure and restoring regional economies after flooding and cyclone events in 2010/2011/2012.

  • Reconstructing Landsborough Highway - Morven to Tambo

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working towards the reconstruction of the Landsborough Highway between Morven and Tambo in the South West region after extensive flooding events since 2010.

  • Reconstructing Mitchell Highway - Barringun to Charleville

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working towards the reconstruction of the Mitchell Highway between Charleville and Barringun in the South West region after extensive flooding. Work is taking place at various sites between Charleville and the New South Wales border.

  • Reconstruction of Murphys Creek Road

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is carrying out repairs on Murphys Creek Road after damage by the flood events of 2010/2011. The initial package includes repairs to Rocky Creek Bridge and the guardrail to Railway Overpass at Ballard.

  • Robinson Road open level crossing replacement project

    The Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council are jointly funding the removal of the open level rail crossing at Robinson Road in Geebung.

  • Reconstructing Cardwell

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working together with Cassowary Coast Regional Council to reconstruct Victoria Street (Bruce Highway) and the Cardwell foreshore following damage sustained during flooding and cyclone events in 2010 and the summer of 2011.

  • Reconstructing Central West

    The TNRP Central West project will see a range of works will be undertaken including formation repairs, pavement replacement, stabilisation, drainage structure repairs and bitumen re-surfacing.

  • Reconstructing Darling Downs

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is undertaking road reconstruction works in the Darling Downs region as part of Operation Queenslander.

  • Reconstruction of Esk-Hampton Road

    The reconstruction of Esk-Hampton Road is part of a program of works being delivered under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).

  • Reconstructing Mackay/Whitsunday

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working to reconstruct 300km of disaster-damaged roads in Mackay/Whitsunday region over the next few years, following the cyclone and rain events of 2010/2011.

  • Reconstructing Mackay/Whitsunday – Peak Downs Highway Package

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently working to reconstruct 46 kilometres of the highway between Walkerston and Moranbah and is expected to be completed by late 2013 (weather permitting).

  • Reconstructing Mackay/Whitsunday – Bruce Highway

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working to reconstruct 19km of disaster-damaged sections of the Bruce Highway over the next few years, following the cyclone and rain events of 2010/2011.

  • Reconstructing Mackay/Whitsunday – North Package

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is currently working to reconstruct state-controlled roads in the Pioneer Valley, Seaforth and Habana areas and was completed in October 2012.

  • Reconstructing Mackay Whitsunday Other Packages

    Geotechnical works will be undertaken on the following sections of road: Eungella Range on Mackay–Eungella Road, both approaches to the Bowen River Bridge on Bowen Developmental Road, Sarina Range on Marlborough–Sarina Road and Abel Point area on Proserpine–Shute Harbour Road.

  • Reconstructing Mackay/Whitsunday - RoadTek Mackay Package

    RoadTek Mackay started reconstruction works in February 2011 and will continue until late 2013 (weather permitting).

  • Reconstructing Mackay Whistunday RoadTek Townsville Package

    RoadTek Townsville are undertaking reconstruction works and will continue until late 2013 (weather permitting).

  • Reconstructing Mackay/Whitsunday – West Package

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working to reconstruct almost 100km of disaster-damaged roads on the West Package over the next few years, following the cyclone and rain events of 2010/2011.

  • Reconstructing Mt Sylvia Road

    Reconstructing various locations along Mt Sylvia Road, Lockyer Valley.

  • Reconstructing North Coast Region

    The department is working towards the reconstruction of more than 20 flood-damaged roads in the North Coast Region.

    The Department of Transport and Main Roads is undertaking road reconstruction works in the North West region as part of Operation Queenslander. These works will repair sections of road damaged by the flooding disaster that devastated the state during the 2010/2011 summer.
