Project info
Operation Queenslander is the largest reconstruction effort in the state’s history, rebuilding communities, fixing infrastructure and restoring regional economies.
This $206 million program of works will repair and reconstruct damaged roads in South Coast region after flooding events in 2010-11. More than 40 km of road repairs and reconstruction will be undertaken in the region, from Logan City in the north, the New South Wales border in the south and inland to around 30 km west of Boonah, over the next few years.
This work is being delivered under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA), a joint federal and state initiative. Under these arrangements, the Australian Government provides 75 per cent of the funding, with 25 per cent from the Queensland Government.
