Project info

Following the 2010/2011 summer flooding and cyclone events, the state-controlled road network in the North Burnett region was affected. Between January and May 2011, urgent repairs were undertaken to return the road network to pre-flooding operational conditions.

The focus is now on road reconstruction, which is expected to take several years to complete.

Construction activities will include road stabilisation, widening, batter reconstruction and bitumen surfacing.

Key milestones

  • May 2012 – North Burnett Regional Council to commence reconstruction works on Eidsvold–Theodore Road and Mundubbera–Durong Road
  • October 2012 – Reconstruction works commenced on the larger North Burnett reconstruction package.
