Project info
Transport and Main Roads completed master planning for the Varsity Station Village transit oriented development in July 2009. Later that same year, extension of the railway line from Robina to Varsity Lakes was completed with the Varsity Lakes railway station opening in December 2009.
Following completion of the master plan, Gold Coast City Council commenced preparation of a Local Area Plan for Varsity Station Village to guide its future development. The Local Area Plan was adopted into Gold Coast City Council’s Planning Scheme and commenced on 14 November 2011.
Transport and Main Roads is currently finalising a business case to consider options for delivery of the site.
