On 28 April 2008, the department released the Motorbike safety in Queensland — Consultation Paper (PDF, 361 KB) to stimulate discussion and gain public opinion on motorbike safety.
The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety Queensland (CARRS-Q) collated the responses and submitted two reports to the department:
Together, they contributed to the development of the Queensland Motorcycle Safety Strategy 2009-2012.
