Road safety in your community

Our mission

 To facilitate the delivery of road safety initiatives that support better road safety outcomes for the community.

The road safety product is delivered by our dedicated staff throughout Queensland. It is both demand driven (through election commitments and requests) and supply driven (through localised responses to road safety issues).

Our goals

To deliver and maintain the day-to-day operation of the road safety product including the School Crossing Supervisor Scheme, Driver Reviver, SafeST programs, education and community engagement activities and increasing awareness.

By collaborating with road safety partners and other government agencies we aim to influence and deliver initiatives supporting:

• road trauma reduction
• safe travel for students to and from school
• enhanced road safety through developing capacity
• increased awareness of road safety within the community
• better infrastructure planning with the focus on sustainability and safety.
