Here for Life
Queensland’s refreshed road safety campaign, Here for Life, is all about taking care on the roads so we can be here for the things we absolutely love.
First launched on 19 May 2009, the Here for Life campaign demonstrates the positive reasons for road users to drive safely. The campaign focuses on the sentimental moments that motivate Queenslanders to drive safely and be here for life – such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and special moments shared with family and friends.
A Here for Life television commercial went to air state-wide on 11 December 2011 and outdoor billboards will be used throughout the holiday period to encourage people to drive safely on Queensland’s roads.
The Here for Life road safety campaign also features an interactive social networking website (www.hereforlife.qld.gov.au) where everyday Queenslanders can share 'LifePIX', read other people’s stories and actively demonstrate their support for safe driving.
The Here for Life brand unites all future road safety campaigns under one consistent road safety banner. It provides a unified approach to the promotion of road safety and aims to increase awareness of all road safety messages.
The refreshed Here for Life brand will be applied to all future road safety public education campaign programs including:
- Anti-drink driving
- Anti-speeding
- Seatbelts
- Fatigue
- Motorcycle safety.
The campaign has been updated in December 2011 to provide a fresh approach. In future years, more campaign material will be rolled out in this same style.
