Pedometers

Pedometers count the number of steps that you take. Pedometers can also provide information on calories burned and distance travelled in kilometres.

How to wear a pedometer

Pedometers can be worn on the waistband or belt. For the pedometer to record your steps accurately, it needs to be in a vertical position and not tilting.

Keep a log of how many steps you take in a day

The 10 000 Steps Program* website provides a Step Log to help you keep track of how many steps you take in a day.
