Ferny Grove line upgrades

The 16.1 km Ferny Grove line connects Brisbane’s north-western suburbs to the rail network.

A major infrastructure upgrade was completed in 2008 on the line between Mitchelton and Keperra, while another major upgrade is currently underway from Keperra to Ferny Grove.

Keperra to Ferny Grove Rail Upgrade

The Keperra to Ferny Grove Rail Upgrade was completed in December 2012.

The project duplicated the track between Keperra and Ferny Grove stations to increase rail capacity and improve reliability, and Ferny Grove station was upgraded.

Mitchelton to Keperra duplication

The Mitchelton to Keperra Duplication project was completed in February 2008.

This project built a second rail line between Mitchelton and Keperra on the Ferny Grove Line, and upgraded station facilities at Oxford Park and Grovely stations.
