Richlands and Springfield line upgrades
The Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor project is building a new dual track rail line to Springfield, and is being delivered in two stages.

Richlands to Springfield
This A$475 million project will extend the rail line 9.5 km to new stations at Springfield and Springfield Central. Construction on this project is underway, and is scheduled for completion in 2013.
This project is the second stage of the Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor project.

Completed upgrade
Darra to Richlands
The first stage of the Darra to Springfield Transport Corridor built a 4.5 km dual track rail line from Darra to a new station at Richlands, with a 650-space park 'n' ride.
Major road improvements were also undertaken as part of this project, including adding four lanes to the Centenary Highway from the intersection of Boundary and Kelliher Roads at Richlands, to north of the Logan Motorway Interchange.
Construction on this A$800 million project is complete, with rail services started on 17 January 2011.
