What happens if drivers or operators do not follow the procedures?
If a parent or carer considers action taken against their child is not in keeping with the code of conduct, they should first raise the issue with the bus company. However, it is not appropriate for parents/carers to approach a driver about an issue while the bus service is in operation. If after contacting the bus company the parent/carer is not satisfied with the company's response, it is the parent/carer's right to refer the matter to the Department of Transport and Main Roads for investigation.
