Information used in the interactive Google map's and KMZ files have been generated from the current lists of bridge and culvert restrictions for Category 1 (IAP) and Category 2 (IAP) special purpose vehicles.

These files have been made available to assist you in identifying restricted bridges or culverts on your planned route.

Your Class 1 OSOM Permit refers to current list of bridge and culvert restrictions for category 1 (IAP) special purpose vehicles and current list of bridge and culvert restrictions for category 2 (IAP) special purpose vehicles, these lists are regularly updated. Once the lists are updated previous versions of the KMZ files should be replaced with the latest versions.

Your Class 1 oversize and overmass permit also refers to the Conditions of Operation Database which is regularly updated.

It is your responsibility to ensure you are using up-to-date information when planning your route and identifying restrictions that apply to your journey.

KMZ file

This file is intended to be used with mapping software, for example, Google Earth or Near Maps.

The file is to be used as a quick assessment only and should not be relied upon as the definitive source of structures. The locations shown on the map may appear slightly adjacent to or near to the actual structure on the map for reasons of geocoding and coordinate systems. Reasonable judgement should be used in determining the actual structure being considered.

When opened with mapping software, this file will enable you to overlay bridge and culvert restrictions onto your planned route. This will assist you in identifying restricted structures.

If you use mapping software for route planning this overlay will not prevent the software from planning a route over one of the structures.
