Deception Bay Road, Bruce Highway to Park Road, duplication planning

The department has developed a preferred planning layout for the future widening of Deception Bay Road from 2 to 4 lanes, between the Bruce Highway and Park Road/Lipscombe Road intersection.

The preferred planning layout shows how future upgrades will improve safety, ease congestion and cater for future traffic growth.

The section between the Bruce Highway and Park Road is the last remaining two-lane section of Deception Bay Road. Duplicating this 3.3km section will provide a seamless transition from the Bruce Highway Upgrade – Deception Bay Road interchange which will be completed in early 2023.
