Community engagement
Getting the community involved is an essential part of Transport and Main Roads' business. It aids our transport planning, policy development and the way we provide services – helping us to make the right decisions.
Community engagement can result in better solutions to issues, changes to the scheduling of works to minimise the impacts and improved policies that reflect public concerns.
The department has a community engagement policy, planner, toolbox and resource guide to enhance interactions with communities.
