Delivery Plan and Major Projects Plan

The Department of Transport and Main Roads moves and connects people, places, goods and services safely, efficiently and effectively across Queensland.

In the 2015-16 financial year the department will manage the delivery of a multi-billion dollar program to meet our business objectives. A well planned and managed transport system plays an essential role in the development of a healthy, robust and growing economy – connecting communities, providing access to services and supporting commerce and industry throughout the State.

Two key forward plans for the department include:

The strategic intent of these plans are shaped by the department’s Service Delivery Statements which forms part of the Queensland Budget 2015-16 and the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment (QTRIP).

About the Plans

The Transport and Main Roads 2015-16 Delivery Plan

  • The plan encapsulates the department’s key deliverables across our four core business services – transport system investment planning and programming, transport infrastructure management and delivery, transport safety, regulation and customer service and passenger transport services.

The Transport and Main Roads Forward Work Plan – Major Projects 2020

  • This Forward Work Plan outlines the department’s planned major projects in transport and road infrastructure over the next four years for roads, bridges, railways, marine infrastructure and public transport solutions.

This integrated planning approach ensures we contribute to:
