Initial discussions have been held with Customer Service Branches and our community partner, Refugee Council of Australia on how to identify positions for migrants and refugees to increase employment.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads are working with HELP Enterprises and Job Access on an Inclusive Recruitment initiative to promote inclusive recruitment practices and to address unconscious bias in recruitment. 

The Department of Transport and Main Roads Inclusion and Diversity Champion delivered a keynote speech in April 2021 for Multicultural Australia's program supporting recently arrived migrants and other multicultural jobseekers to connect to employment opportunities.
