Captain Cook Bridge maintenance works

We are currently undertaking maintenance works on the Captain Cook Bridge, Brisbane City.

These works on the Captain Cook Bridge will preserve the ongoing functionality of the bridge and help to meet future operational requirements.

As part of maintenance works, heavy vehicle access changes have been in place from 1 December 2019 on the Captain Cook Bridge, requiring heavy vehicles over 33 tonnes to travel in the centre two lanes in each direction. Maintenance will take place on both sides, inside and on top of the bridge at multiple locations during the works.

These ongoing maintenance works will require some night-time lane closures and intermittent traffic holds on each bridge (northbound and southbound). We will seek to minimise the impact on the travelling public during this time.
