Project info

The upgrade to the Eight Mile Plains Station park ‘n’ ride includes the increase of around 340 new car parks, taking the number of available car parks to around 1200.

Construction started in April 2019 and was completed late September 2019.

The upgrade includes the installation of bicycle storage racks, realignment of pedestrian pathways, improvements to drainage and the installation of CCTV cameras and lighting.

Unfortunately, some trees were removed to allow for the increase in parking area. All necessary environmental approvals and permits were obtained, and landscaping was undertaken on project completion.

Bus services continued to operate on the normal schedule during construction.
