Project info

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has finished works to improve parking facilities for people with a disability at the Kippa-Ring train station.

The upgrade has improved access and commuting options with the construction of eight new accessible parking bays near the station’s entrance, new car park lighting, landscaping, a secure bike lock-up facility and expanded CCTV coverage. For safety purposes, right turns are prohibited from the new car park facility to Hindmarsh Street. Access to Anzac Avenue is available via a U-turn movement at the roundabout on Hindmarsh Street.

The original accessible parking bays in the main car park have been converted into two family friendly bays and five regular bays, with one additional remaining accessible bay.
