Morayfield Bus Station Upgrade

Overview:

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has completed detailed design for an upgrade to the Morayfield bus station at the Morayfield Shopping Centre. The $6.092 million project is set to provide a modern, high quality facility for commuters and will accommodate 6 bus bays.

Location:

Morayfield Shopping Centre, Morayfield Road.

Completion:

Detailed design work is now complete. Construction timeframes will be confirmed later this year.

Benefits:

Key features of the upgraded station will include providing comfortable seating, a sheltered waiting area and additional bus stopping bays. The existing taxi rank will also be relocated to ensure a sufficient area to accommodate up to 6 buses at the same time. 

Funding:

The $6.092 million upgrade will be delivered as part of the Queensland Government’s Public Transport Infrastructure Investment Program.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has completed detailed design work to upgrade the Morayfield Bus Station at the Morayfield Shopping Centre. 

A $6.092 million upgrade will be delivered as part of the Queensland Government’s Public Transport Infrastructure Investment Program.

The upgrade will provide a modern, high quality facility for commuters and will accommodate 6 bus bays.

As part of the overall funding, a staff layover and drivers facility has already been constructed at the Morayfield Railway Station on Aerial Crescent. The facility has been operational since 2014. 

Detailed design for the bus station upgrade component has been completed.
