Mount Lindesay Highway upgrade Camp Cable to Johanna Street Jimboomba


The Mount Lindesay Highway is being upgraded to 4 lanes between Camp Cable Road and Johanna Street Jimboomba.




The upgrade will improve safety, capacity and flood protection on this section of the highway.

The $20 million upgrade is funded by the Queensland Government as outlined in the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program 2019-20 to 2022-23.

The Mount Lindesay Highway Camp Cable to Johanna Street Upgrade will involve:

widening the highway alignment to 4 lanes

increasing the height of the road over Jimboomba Creek

safety improvements and upgrading the barriers.

Further safety upgrades of the Mount Lindesay Highway will be delivered in priority stages as funding becomes available. 

Key milestones

  • Mid to late 2018: Detailed design and community consultation
  • Mid-2019: Service relocations, construction procurement
  • Early 2020: Start construction
  • Early 2021: Complete construction.
