Mount Lindesay Highway: North Maclean safety improvements

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is planning for a safety upgrade on the Mount Lindesay Highway at North Maclean.

Project info

The upgrade at North Maclean includes connecting St Aldwyn Road and Wearing Road to a new service road. This service road joins to a new signalised intersection at Greenbank Road and the existing grade-separated interchange at Chambers Flat Road. 

Once constructed, businesses and residents between St Aldwyn Road and Wearing Road will have direct access to the service road.

  • Early 2019—construction commenced.
  • Early 2020—construction complete.

Construction of the Mount Lindesay Highway Safety Improvement project – North Maclean has progressed. 

In early November 2019 the service road will be open to 2-way traffic between Wearing Road and the new signalised intersection at Greenbank Road.

As part of these works, the new signalised intersection at Greenbank Road will also be opened and the traffic signals will be operational. The service road will connect from the Chambers Flat Road Interchange to the new signalised intersection at Greenbank Road.
