Overview:

The Mt Lindesay/Beaudesert Strategic Transport Network Investigation explored the transport needs for the Mt Lindesay/Beaudesert region for the future. Quality transport planning contributes to developing communities that have more sustainable transport options and efficient land use patterns.

Western Logan and Scenic Rim.

Benefits:

This study has helped to ensure residential development, transport infrastructure, employment sites and community facilities are located to best support growth in the study area.

Results from the study have assisted state and local governments planning for the Mt Lindesay/Beaudesert area, including the Mt Lindesay Highway upgrade program.

Project info

Following completion of the Mt Lindesay/Beaudesert planning study by the Office of Urban Management and release of Amendment 1 to the South East Queensland Regional Plan 2006-2026, the Mt Lindesay/Beaudesert investigation commenced.

The study, at the time, was coordinated by the Department of Transport and Main Roads with the involvement of the TransLink Transit Authority, the Department of Infrastructure and Planning and local councils, was released in 2009.
