Pacific Motorway M1 Interchange upgrades

Planning and construction is underway for short and long-term upgrades of various interchanges on the Pacific Motorway (M1)

Ongoing rapid industrial and residential development in the northern Gold Coast area is adding pressure to already busy M1 interchanges.

The current status of transport planning for the interchange upgrades is:

  • Exit 38 (Yatala North)—Business case approved in November 2018
  • Exit 41 (Yatala South)—In construction
  • Exit 45 (Ormeau)—Completed
  • Exit 49 (Pimpama)—In construction.
