Queen Street Bus Station: Platform 2 lift installation

Overview:

The Department of Transport and Main Roads has installed a lift to increase accessibility to Platform 2 of the Queen Street Bus Station.

Queen Street, Brisbane City.

Completion:

Completed mid-2019.

Benefits:

Project info

Installation of the Queen Street Bus Station Platform 2 lift commenced in October 2018 and was completed in August 2019.

The lift to Platform 2 provides full access to Queen Street Bus Station for all passengers, including those who have difficulty using stairs.

Construction included the installation of a lift and lift shaft from Queen Street ground level to Queen Street Bus Station Platform 2, removal of an existing decommissioned mechanical vent and the relocation of the existing stairwell.
