Reedy Creek Road and Bermuda Street: intersection upgrade


The upgrade of Reedy Creek Road and Bermuda Street intersection is part of the State government's fast-tracked road safety and road network renewal program.

Construction is scheduled to commence early April 2017 and is to be completed by late June 2017, weather permitting.

  • Reduced traffic congestion and queuing on Reedy Creek Road (east) of traffic turning right into Bermuda Street (north).
  • Improved peak hour traffic flow and reduced travel times through the intersection.
  • Increased safety for vehicles merging left into Reedy Creek Road from Kortum Drive and Bermuda Street (south).
  • Increased safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians travelling through the intersection.

$1.5 million.

Upgrade works will include:

  • installing an additional right turn lane from Reedy Creek Road (east) into Bermuda Street (north)
  • reconfiguring left turn from Kortum Drive into Reedy Creek Road
  • reconfiguring left turn from Bermuda Street (south) into Reedy Creek Road (west)
  • reconstructing existing traffic islands
  • upgrading traffic signals
  • revising line marking and updating signage.

Community info

Work will be carried out mainly at night, Monday to Friday 8pm-4am. Every effort will be made to minimise noise from heavy machinery by restricting its use to 8pm-11pm.
