Rehabilitation of Flinders Highway: Hughenden

Overview:

The works will address pavement deficiencies along the Flinders Highway on the eastern approach to Hughenden. The Flinders Highway will be rehabilitated and improvements will be made to existing drainage, property accesses and intersections

Location:

Hughenden.

Completion:

Construction to commence March 2017 and to be completed by March 2018, weather permitting.

Benefits:

Improve the pavement as well as drainage, intersections, property accesses and kerbing.

Funding:

$6.2 million

The works will take place on the eastern approach to Hughenden, Flinders Highway between Hughenden-Muttaburra Road and the level rail crossing near Moran Street.

Motorists should expect changed conditions, including speed limit restrictions, partial lane closures and other traffic control measures.These measures are in place to ensure the safety of motorists and road workers, and to carry out the works as efficiently as possible. Motorists are asked to be patient, obey all safety signage and drive to the conditions.

Community info

Nearby residents may experience temporary impacts during work hours, including noise, dust and vibrations. Every effort will be made to minimise these impacts as much as possible.
