Road Asset Management Contracts: generation 2


The generation 2 Road Asset Management Contract (RAMC) is a nominal 5 year contract with 3 possible 1 year extensions which includes routine, programmed maintenance and rehabilitation activities in addition to stewardship and asset management services for much of the TMR network in South East Queensland.

Procurement for the next generation of RAMC (RAMC Gen2) commenced in mid-June 2017.


The TMR network in the following districts:

  • North Coast District
  • South Coast District
  • Metropolitan District.

It is expected that these new RAMC Gen2 will:

  • stimulate the local road construction industry by creating local jobs.
  • achieve a range of tangible savings through the use of innovation and new products and treatments.
  • provide a safer road network designed to meet current traffic demands and cater to future needs.

Procurement information

Procurement of the new RAMC Gen2 consists of a 2 stage process.

The first stage, commenced mid–June 2017, was a Request for Proposals. Proponents were shortlisted for the next stage based on their proposals submitted.

The second stage is the Tender Submission. The shortlisted tenderers have been invited to submit Stage Two tenders closing December 2018.
