Community info

The project will be delivered as part of the $635 million Warrego Highway Upgrade Program (WHUP) designed to improve road safety between Toowoomba and west of Miles and will be implemented by mid-2019. WHUP is funded 80% by the federal government and 20% by the state government.

Travel times will be impacted by these projects. Local, regional and statewide motorists and heavy vehicle operators using the Warrego Highway between Toowoomba and Roma will need to factor in extra travel time due to multiple upgrade sites.
