Long distance coach services

From 1 January 2015, changes were made to government-regulated coach services with the commencement of new operator contracts.

This is a result of the review of long distance air, coach and rail services during 2013 and the competitive open tender process for new air and coach contracts during 2014. There are no changes to rail services.

What’s new?

  • The Monto to Mundubbera service operates on demand and connects with the Mundubbera to Maryborough service. It will run on Friday to better match passenger demand.
  • Biloela is no longer serviced via this network due to declining passenger demand. Passengers can travel to Biloela using the Toowoomba to Rockhampton service, operated by Toowoomba Transit.
  • The Monto to Ceratodus service operates on demand and connects with the Eidsvold to Bundaberg (via Mt Perry) service on Wednesday (previously Thursday).
  • The Mundubbera to Bundaberg services continues to operate on Tuesday and Thursday.
