Increase in supply costs

New forms are available to cater for increase in supply costs. These forms are available in the Administrative Forms category of TIC-CO contracts and are:

Contractors may wish to discuss its use and application with the department on a case by case basis. The Deed of Variation and Amendment (Increase in Supply Costs) has to be signed by both parties if Annexure E is to be applied.

COVID-19 special clauses

Department of Transport and Main Roads, in consultation with industry, has developed some special contract conditions to cater for the impact of the pandemic on TIC-CO contracts. These special clauses are included in C7834.TIC.CO Annexure D (COVID-19) (Construct Only Contract) to the General Conditions of Contract.
Contractors may wish to discuss its use and application with the department on a case by case basis. The Deed of Variation and Amendment (COVID) has to be signed by both parties if Annexure D is to be applied.

Key aspects of the TIC-CO

  • replaces the current Road Construction Contract (RCC)
  • can be used for the construction of other forms of transport infrastructure (such as marine structures and busways)
  • for open tendering (one-stage or two-stage process), Early Tenderer Involvement or Guided Tender Alternative
  • more dispute resolution alternatives, such as 'Issues Resolution Advisor' and 'Dispute Resolution Board'.
