Beaudesert - Beenleigh Road (Belivah), Armstrong Road to Stubbin Street, widen pavement

The upgrade from Armstrong Road to Stubbin Street included pavement widening and resurfacing, wide centre line treatments, improvements to the Armstrong Road intersection, raising of the Belivah Creek floodway and allowances for fauna movements.

This upgrade increased safety for motorists and improve flood immunity for the community.

Current status

Construction started in August 2022 and was completed in April 2023.

Completed work to date:

Installation of 45 large and 90 small culvert units with spanning slabs as the foundation for the new pavement installed on Beaudesert–Beenleigh Road
Traffic switch onto new alignment on Beaudesert–Beenleigh Road both north and southbound between Armstrong Road and Stubbin Street
All right turn movements reinstated into and out from Armstrong Avenue
Removal of existing Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road bridge
Increased road safety treatments
Flood immunity by raising the road level
Wide centre line treatment
Widening of road shoulders
Improvements to entry and exit points at Armstrong Road
Installation of guardrails
