Barcaldine - Aramac Road, rehabilitate and widen pavement
More than 26km of the Barcaldine-Aramac Road is being gradually widened to improve travelling conditions.
The 120km Blackall-Jericho Road is now fully sealed.
A significant achievement has been delivered by a broad program of works, sealing the last remaining 15km of gravel road on this key strategic link.
The Blackall-Jericho Road is now fully sealed, improving safety, efficiency and wet weather access for all road users.
The road joins with the Landsborough and Capricorn Highways and plays an important role in regional growth. It connects communities from Blackall and surrounding areas with essential services (including health and education) in Emerald and Rockhampton.
This sealed road will deliver benefits to everyone who uses it and contribute to the local economy well into the future.
