Bowen Developmental Road sealing - Rockingham Creek to Mount Coolon

The sealing of the Bowen Developmental Road between Rockingham Creek and Mount Coolon is now complete and improves safety and productivity by providing an 8m sealed roadway with adequate road shoulder. The Bowen Developmental Road sealing project is a part of the Northern Australia Roads Program.

This project in conjunction with the Deception Creek to Bulgonunna Creek project has sealed about 25kms of roadway separated by sealed floodways between Collinsville and Mount Coolon. The Bowen Developmental Road is frequently used by heavy vehicles associated with agricultural and mining operations.

The project has provided an 8m wide sealed bitumen road and replaced ageing and damaged culvert structures and signage.

This project is 1 of 10 projects being delivered in Queensland under the Northern Australia Roads Program.
