Bruce Highway (Bowen – Ayr), Bowen Connection Road to Champion Street intersection, widen pavement
The project will deliver safety upgrades to around 6km of the Bruce Highway between the Bowen Connection Road and Champion Street intersections to provide a safer, smoother and more efficient road network.
These works are part of the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program (BHUP).
Under the 15-year, $13 billion Bruce Highway Upgrade Program, the department is continuing to invest in safety, flood resilience and capacity upgrades along the Bruce Highway between Brisbane and Cairns. The program is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the Queensland Government, on an 80:20 basis.
