Bruce Highway (Townsville - Ingham), Leichhardt Creek to Lilypond Creek, construct overtaking lanes

Bruce Highway upgrades between Leichhardt Creek and Lilypond Creek (about 41km north of Townsville).

The project will improve safety and efficiency on the Bruce Highway between Townsville and Ingham through the installation of a new, northbound overtaking lane.

The Bruce Highway pavement was widened to accommodate the new overtaking opportunity, and nearby installation of wide centre line treatments. Culverts under the highway pavement were also extended to accommodate the overtaking lane.
