Burke Developmental Road (Cloncurry - Normanton), Butcher Creek, replace bridge

The Butcher Creek bridge is being replaced on the Burke Developmental Road.

The new 2-lane bridge will better support local traffic by improving safety, flood immunity and traffic flow on Burke Developmental Road. The project also includes realignment of Burke Developmental Road to connect the new bridge to the existing road network. The current bridge will remain open and will be decommissioned once the new bridge is operational.

This project is part of the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 economic recovery response.
