Accelerated funding has been allocated through the following Road Stimulus Packages to increase investment in roads and transport infrastructure as part of The Queensland Economic Recovery Strategy.
Clermont-Alpha Road progressive sealing
Almost 5km of Clermont-Alpha Road will be sealed to a width of 8m to improve safety, efficiency and wet weather access for all road users.
This road is a key strategic route supporting the economic development of regional Australia's beef industry.
It is also an important social connector, bringing together rural communities including Clermont, Alpha and the surrounding areas with essential goods and services, education and employment opportunities, and recreation facilities.
Growth and sustainability in the agriculture, resources and tourism sectors is reliant on a safe and reliable transport network.
