Cleveland Sub - Arterial Road (Old Cleveland Road) and Tilley Road intersection upgrade, business case

The department is planning to upgrade the Cleveland Sub-Arterial Road (Old Cleveland Road) and Tilley Road intersection in Chandler to increase safety and help reduce traffic congestion.

Upgrading the intersection of the Cleveland Sub-Arterial Road (Old Cleveland Road) and Tilley Road intersection will:

  • reduce traffic congestion
  • improve travel times
  • provide increased safety performance.

The project is currently in the planning phase, with community consultation anticipated to commence in mid-2022.

Further funding is required to progress the project to detailed design and construction.

Current status

The department is currently undertaking preliminary investigations and studies as part of the business case phase for the Cleveland Sub-Arterial Road (Old Cleveland Road) and Tilley Road intersection upgrade project.

This phase will include community consultation on the proposed design.

It is anticipated the business case will be completed in late 2022.
